TestPros Wins FBI IV&V Contract

Table of Contents

TestPros won a prime contract at the FBI to provide IV&V services. TestPros is one of several winners of the FBI’s IV&V multiple award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract. Industry studies show that the failure rate for large-scale software projects is as high as 85 percent. To mitigate this risk, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice (DOJ) will strive to conduct IV&V in a manner that provides government managers and executives with metrics focused on achieving mission goals and objectives. IV&V must also be grounded in the goals and objectives of the particular organization, the operational environment and technology domains in which systems are deployed, and the specific management and policy requirements that govern IT programs. Achieving these objectives requires straightforward application of industry standard methodologies and incorporation of broader management and operational capabilities.
