Overview
From August 13–15, 2025, the TestPros leadership team met at our Virginia office for a Strategic Growth Workshop. The sessions were led by Mark McKearn and the Generational Consulting Group.
About Generational Consulting Group
Generational Consulting Group works with privately held companies to build growth and value creation plans. The firm was named Consulting Firm of the Year in 2022 and 2023. Their process, called the GCG Process, is built around five steps:
The GCG Process has five parts:
- Pre-Work – Collect data and prepare.
- Assess – Review financials, culture, leadership, and competitive position.
- Plan – Set objectives, KPIs, strategy, and define customer focus.
- Prioritize – Build initiatives, brainstorm tactics, assign leaders, and set accountability.
- Execute – Commit as a team and follow up with regular check-ins.
The Workshop
Across three days, we worked through each step. We reviewed where we are now, defined our vision, and built the steps to get there.
By the end, we had a Strategic Growth Plan (SGP). The plan includes strategic initiatives broken down into tactics, with goal dates, assigned leaders, and support teams.
Why It Matters
The workshop gave us more than ideas. It gave us a roadmap, alignment across leadership, and accountability at every level. The next step is simple: execute.
