What We Do

Our Accessibility Services

Independent testing and remediation services that produce documentation your legal team, your procurement contacts, and your regulators will accept.

Media Accessibility

For organizations with audio and video content, we produce captions and audio description to meet WCAG and Section 508, or independently verify that your existing media conforms.

How It Works

What happens during an accessibility assessment?

A disciplined, manual-led process that begins with an automated baseline and ends with a conformance report your legal and procurement teams can rely on.

1

Step 01

Scope & Plan

We confirm the assets in scope and the standards that apply to you, from WCAG and Section 508 to ADA.

2

Step 02

Automated Baseline Scan

An automated scan establishes a baseline across your pages and templates, flagging common code-level issues fast.

3

Step 03

Manual Expert Testing

Certified testers evaluate every applicable success criterion using real screen readers and keyboard navigation.

4

Step 04

Conformance Report

Each finding is mapped to its WCAG criterion, rated by severity, located precisely, and paired with a recommended fix.

5

Step 05

Remediation & Retest

You receive remediation guidance for every finding, and we retest to confirm the fixes once they are in place.

Coverage Matters

Why a Scan Is Not a Compliance Determination

Automated scanners are a useful first pass, and TestPros runs one at the start of every engagement. But software reliably detects only 30 to 40 percent of WCAG issues. The barriers that matter most for real users, and for demonstrating compliance, require certified human testing.

Expert Manual Audit

TestPros

  • Evaluates every applicable WCAG 2.2 AA success criterion
  • Catches cognitive, contextual, and interaction barriers software cannot detect
  • Verifies the real experience with screen readers and keyboard navigation
  • Produces a credentialed ACR accepted in procurement and legal proceedings
  • Conducted by IAAP WAS-certified professionals and DHS Trusted Testers

Automated Scanner Alone

Software Only

  • Detects roughly 30 to 40 percent of WCAG issuesPartial
  • Flags common code-level issues quickly, such as missing alt text and low contrastPartial
  • Cannot judge whether a label, link, or alt text is actually meaningful
  • Cannot test screen reader flows, keyboard journeys, or dynamic content
  • Does not produce a defensible Accessibility Conformance Report on its own
And an accessibility overlay is not a substitute either. Overlay widgets that promise to fix accessibility automatically do not address the underlying code, can interfere with assistive technology, and do not make a site compliant. Companies using them continued to face ADA lawsuits throughout 2025, with plaintiffs filing against overlay-using businesses every month. TestPros does not sell or install overlays. Case Study

How a major U.S. city tests its digital services for accessibility

City of Charlotte
Since 2023 Citywide Program Web & Mobile Apps Documents & PDFs Maps & Dashboards Digital Signage

The City of Charlotte operates a large and varied digital presence: public websites and portals, mobile applications for iOS and Android, interactive maps and dashboards, documents, and digital displays, all of which fall under the City's obligations as a public entity under ADA Title II.

Since 2023, TestPros has served as the City's independent accessibility testing partner, selected for its citywide ADA accessibility on-call contract. The work is enterprise in scale and manual-led by design, because the barriers that put a public entity at risk are largely the ones automated tools cannot find.

The Approach

  • Manual testing aligned to WCAG 2.2 and Section 508
  • Validation with real assistive technology
  • Actionable remediation guidance for City teams
  • Regression testing as assets are updated
  • Documentation supporting good-faith compliance over time
Joshua Siegel

“Your responsiveness, competitive pricing, attention to detail, and professionalism have truly set you apart. Your thorough and timely support has been invaluable to one of our most critical departments.”

“As long as the exceptional service you've provided continues, I'm confident our partnership will extend through the testing of our remaining digital assets, and hopefully well into the future.”

Joshua Siegel, ADA Liaison, Innovation & Technology, City of Charlotte

Who We Help

Who needs an independent accessibility audit?

Accessibility obligations look different across industries. These are the organizations that come to TestPros, and what is driving them.

ADA Title III

eCommerce & Retail

High-traffic consumer sites are the single largest target for digital accessibility lawsuits. An inaccessible checkout, product page, or promotion is lost revenue and legal exposure at the same time.

Procurement VPAT

SaaS & Technology

Enterprise and public-sector buyers increasingly require a VPAT or ACR before they will purchase. Without conformance documentation, accessibility becomes a deal-blocker in procurement.

High-Risk / Regulated

Financial Services & Healthcare

Regulated industries serve large, diverse user bases under heightened scrutiny. Accessibility failures carry compliance, litigation, and reputational risk on top of the impact on real users.

ADA Title II / 504

Higher Education & Public Sector

Universities, agencies, and public entities carry ADA Title II and Section 504 obligations, face OCR complaints, and must meet accessibility requirements across large portfolios of digital assets.

Accessibility Audits Explained

What is an accessibility audit?

An accessibility audit is a systematic evaluation of a website, application, or document against recognized standards such as WCAG, Section 508, and the ADA. A thorough audit combines an automated baseline scan with manual testing by certified specialists to identify the barriers that prevent people with disabilities from using a digital product.

What a TestPros accessibility audit includes

  • An automated baseline scan across the pages and templates in scope
  • Manual testing against every applicable WCAG success criterion
  • Validation with real assistive technology, including screen readers and keyboard navigation
  • An Accessibility Conformance Report with severity ratings and recommended fixes
